Martin Tyner
At the age of 19, Martin Tyner was hired as curator of birds of prey at Busch Gardens, Calif., and was soon working in the movie industry as a trainer of big cats, elephants, primates, sea mammals and raptors. He is the founder of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation, a non-profit wildlife rescue and environmental education organization. With the help of his Golden Eagle, Bud, they received a donation of 22.6 acres of property for the development of a permanent wildlife rescue facility in Utah.

Gary Goold
Gary Goold graduated from the University of Utah with a dual major in geology and geography in 1975. Upon graduation, his family moved to Alaska where Gary worked on the construction and operation of the Trans Alaskan Oil Pipeline for the next 22 years. Gary retired and moved to St. George in 1997, where he enjoys the outdoors, hiking, climbing, skiing and rock climbing. Gary has been an instructor with Road Scholar for the past seven years and enjoys sharing his love for the region.

Sherry Breitenbach
Sherry Breitenbach moved to the St. George area in 2006 and quickly became a hiking enthusiast. Following her passion for the outdoors and exploring, she signed on as a hiking instructor for two local businesses. Sherry now shares her passion of this part of the country with Road Scholar programs through Dixie State University. Before moving to St. George, Sherry worked in the field of laboratory testing for 26 years, and managed a now-consolidated branch laboratory of 14 employees.

Heidi Loveland
Heidi Loveland is a native of St. George, Utah. A graduate of Weber State University, she has worked as a wildland firefighter with the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service. She loves traveling the world and has visited every continent except Antarctica. She is passionate about the outdoors, and loves yoga and kayaking with her German Shepard.

Hiking up to seven miles daily on mostly groomed trails, some uneven terrain. Elevations of 2,880-8,300 feet.
