Voyage into the far reaches of the Southern Ocean on an expedition to Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. Few places on Earth support such abundant wildlife, thanks to cold, nutrient-rich waters that sustain vast populations of seabirds, seals and penguins. Begin in Buenos Aires with a glimpse into Argentine culture, then travel to Ushuaia to embark your expedition vessel. In the Falklands and South Georgia, step ashore in search of vast colonies of penguins and seals and learn about the region’s complex natural and human history. Continue to the Antarctic Peninsula, where towering glaciers, drifting icebergs and dramatic coastlines define the landscape. Throughout your journey, venture out by Zodiac for up-close exploration and learn from expert naturalists who bring context to every landing and encounter.

Learn About Activity Levels
Walking up to one mile at a time over varied terrain including hills, mud, gravel and ice. Most embarkations and disembarkations will be via Zodiacs requiring the ascent and descent of steep stairs between the Zodiacs and the ship. Zodiac landings will generally entail disembarking onto wet surfaces which may be slippery. Wind and choppy water may result in more turbulent Zodiac transfers. Must be physically capable of participating in all planned program activities.
General Notes
Departures operate on different ships, so please see the daily schedule for specific details. The itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions.
