The moment you step out onto Princes Street and spy Edinburgh Castle, looming high on Castle Rock, you’ll begin to understand why Scotland captures so many hearts and imaginations. While in Edinburgh, you’ll explore the Royal Mile, anchored on one end by the castle. And there’s so much more on this breathtaking journey! Stay in the charming village of Ballater while you explore the nearby royal retreat at Balmoral. Catch a view of the Home of Golf — The Old Course in St. Andrews — and experience the stunning Victoria & Albert Museum in Dundee. Uncover the history of Tantallon and Stirling castles and wonder at impossibly scenic Dunnottar Castle, surrounded by sea on three sides. Delight in Scottish music, sample a whisky or two (no “e”, thank you), and perhaps hazard a haggis. Learn on journeys to ancient abbeys, Pictish stones, Roman ruins — even, if you join us in summer or fall, to a working farm to watch border collies herding ducks! This is an incredible educational adventure with skilled Group Leaders and subject-matter experts to give context and depth to your experience.
