At Silver Bay on Lake George, learning feels a little like summer camp — only with more choice and a lot more comfort. Set against the backdrop of the Adirondacks and Silver Bay YMCA’s historic lakeside campus, this flexible learning adventure lets you shape your own experience through your choice of activities including handcrafts, watercolor painting, pickleball, expert-led hikes and more. Outside of your chosen activity, free time offers even more ways to enjoy the setting, whether you’re walking scenic trails, joining an evening presentation on regional history or simply taking advantage of the serenity of being lakeside. However you choose to spend your days, you’ll enjoy the chance to learn, connect and recharge in one of New York’s most peaceful summer settings.
Best of all, you'll...
  • Choose the activities and pace that suit you, whether you prefer hands-on creativity, light physical activity or time to simply enjoy the beauty of Lake George.
  • Learn alongside local experts through options like watercolor painting, pickleball, hiking and other enriching activities on campus.
  • Build meaningful relationships with other Road Scholars during shared meals, evening gatherings and independent time exploring the vast grounds of Silver Bay YMCA.
