Dr. Chris Adamson is a classical archaeologist and educator who studied Classics at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, and obtained his Master's and Doctoral degrees in Classical Archaeology at the University of Oxford. He specializes in prehistoric and early Greece from the Late Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age. Currently, he is a Program Manager with Bridgemark Education, an international education provider, and a lecturer for University Education, a charity that strives to raise academic aspirations and attainment for underprivileged teenagers.
Ioanna Kopsiafti is an art historian, professor and writer living in Athens for the past 20 years. She earned her master’s degree from St. Andrews University and her doctorate from Oxford. Ioanna currently lectures in Athens and Rome, primarily on ancient Greek and Roman art and civilization. Her publications include “Style City Athens” (Thames & Hudson 2006) and “Thinking Space, Advancing Art: Cassirer with Crowther” (Routledge 2015) on the philosophy of symbolic forms that explores language, myth, religion and art within the philosophy of culture.
Vicky Papantoniou was born in Athens, Greece. She studied History and Archaeology at the National University of Athens and earned a master’s degree. In Florence, Italy, she studied Italian Religious Art of the Renaissance, and was licensed as a lecturer and guide. She also received a degree in Academic Theology at the University of Athens. Vicky has worked with Road Scholar for 15 years. She is an artist and has pained Byzantine Icons since she was a teenager. She speaks Greek, English, Italian, and French.
Ioanna Christoforaki, born and raised on the island of Rhodes, has lived in Athens for the past 20 years. She studied history and archaeology at the University of Athens and holds a Master’s degree and a Doctorate from the University of Oxford. She has worked at the Greek Ministry of Culture, the Hellenic Open University, and the Academy of Athens. Her research interests focus on the visual and material culture of the Mediterranean during the Middle Ages and cultural interchanges among its people.
Samara Stavroula has a bachelor's degree in sociology from Panteion University, where she has also been a professor. She is currently leading groups throughout Greece and the Greek islands. She is fluent in Greek, English, and Dutch and enjoys providing educational and entertaining experiences making Greek history come alive for all her groups.

Walking up to three miles per day; uneven and inclined terrain including hills, stairs without railings and cobblestone streets. Getting on/off motorcoach and climbing in/out of tender.
