Afternoon: 3pm is Hotel check-in. 4:00pm come to the meeting room to register with your Program Coordinator and pick up your arrival packet. Programs are planned far in advance, so local circumstances may require changes from time to time. We will notify you as quickly as possible should there be any changes and appreciate your understanding
Dinner: 5:00pm: Enjoy your first meal at the Tick Tock Diner, located just off the hotel lobby. Dinner in the diner is available and included even if you arrive late. If your arrival is delayed, please attend orientation and then eat afterwards.
Evening: 6:15pm: We begin our orientation to the program and introduce staff and members of the group. We’ll review the schedule and any updates and answer any questions you may have. Following orientation we will walk to the Empire State Building for a birds eye view of the city and pass by the Christmas windows at Macy's.
Breakfast: In the hotel meeting room, we’ll have bagels, muffins, bananas, hard-boiled eggs, cold cereals, cream cheese, jelly, butter, plus milk (regular/low-fat), orange juice, coffee/decaf, tea, water. During breakfast, we will register with the MTA for a senior citizen MetroCard (if you are 65 or over). A representative from the MTA will take your picture and a copy of your driver’s license to process your permanent MetroCard application. They will give you a temporary card to use for the week, enabling you to ride for half price. A few weeks after you return home you will receive a permanent card in the mail — your official invitation to come back to New York and ride around for half price. If you have a NYC Senior Citizen MetroCard please bring it with you.
Morning: We will have a lecture on the history of Christmas and holiday celebrations in NYC. Then we will take a short walk to soak in the Christmas spirit.
Lunch: Lunch location to be determined.
Afternoon: Visit: The Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The cathedral vies with Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for the title of the largest Anglican cathedral and church and fourth largest Christian church in the world.
Dinner: Dinner location to be determined.
Evening: We will travel to the charming neighborhood of Greenwich Village to witness "'A CHRISTMAS CAROL' at the MERCHANT’S HOUSE, Charles Dickens in New York, 1867." We will celebrate the season with this unique retelling of a holiday classic, set in the Museum’s Greek Revival double parlor decorated in 19th century holiday style.
Breakfast: Plated breakfast in the Tick Tock Diner
Morning: Enjoy a full day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with its eighteenth-century Neapolitan Nativity scene-embellished with a profuse array of diminutive, lifelike attendant figures and silk-robed angels hovering above—adorns the candlelit spruce. Recorded music and lighting ceremonies add to the enjoyment of the holiday display, or take the afternoon for Free Time.
Lunch: This meal has been excluded from the program cost and is on your own to enjoy what you like. The Group Leader will be happy to offer suggestions.
Afternoon: Continue to spend time at the Metropolitan Museum of Art or take some "Free Time"
Dinner: Dinner on your own

Breakfast: In the hotel
Morning: After learning about the history of Rockefeller Center, take a guided walk and learn about this iconic site with an expert local guide.
Lunch: On your own. Grab a seat near the skating rink or eat in any of the many local eateries.
Afternoon: Performance: "Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes." For almost 100 years the Rockettes have been an iconic part of New York City's entertainment history. Established in the 1920's, by the 30's Rockefeller Center had become their permanent home and they have been kicking up fun here ever since.
Dinner: Our farewell dinner will be a plated meal in a restaurant near the hotel.
Evening: Take a guided walk with a local expert to experience more sites celebrating the holiday season.

Morning: We wrap up our Christmas celebration
