After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
Photo ID for those over 65 to register for a reduced fare subway pass. If you have a senior metroCard from a previous visit, please bring it.
United States citizens don’t need a visa for any of the countries you’ll be visiting. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.

The Uber app now offers a shuttle to/from JFK Airport. It runs to several locations in Manhattan near our hotel. On the Uber App, look for the “Shuttle” icon (it features a black van & tiny airplane.) Follow the scheduling prompts. As Uber utilizes your phone’s location services, it is possible the NYC-based shuttle icon won’t be available until arriving in NYC. Price subject to change.

FROM JFK Terminals Take AirTrain ($8.25) to Jamaica. Use a credit card with a chip to pay the fare via the OMNY system. At Jamaica Station transfer to the LIRR commuter rail to PENN STATION. The fare for this train is separate from the Airtrain and varies: $8.25 off-peak; $11.25 peak. Weekends are off-peak. Purchase your ticket at one of the kiosks in the station before boarding the train. The train will bring you directly into Penn Station. Exit out to 8th Avenue. The New Yorker is only a few blocks away at 34th & 8th Avenue. Easy walking distance.

Take Q70 bus to Roosevelt Avenue station. Tap any chip-enhanced credit card on the OMNY reader to pay $2.90 fare. Transfer to the “E” Subway train Manhattan Bound/DOWNTOWN to “34th Street/Penn Station.” Be sure to use the the same card when transferring to the subway and the system will recognize it as a free transfer.

From Newark Airport Follow signs from baggage claim area to the AirTrain monorail direct to Newark Airport Station. Take NJ Transit to New York Penn Station. This is normally the final stop on the train. Penn Station is undergoing a massive renovation - follow exit signs for 8th Avenue. The hotel has an enormous sign fronting on 8th Avenue at 34th Street - it is just a block or two away, depending on which exit you emerge from. Walk in the direction of the traffic and you will see the hotel sign. Purchase ticket from NJ Transit kiosk in airport. Senior Fare: $11.25, Regular Fare: $15.25 (subject to change.)
