In celebration of the 25th anniversary year of Road Scholar’s popular New York City learning adventure "5 Days 5 Boroughs," this five-part online lecture series will take you on a journey through the history, buildings and neighborhood stories that make up New York City — one borough at a time. In part four, native New Yorker John Kriskiewicz, an expert on architecture and city planning, takes you on an exploration of trendy Brooklyn, the city’s most populous borough. Brooklyn is known for more than just that iconic accent we all know and love. It’s got a pretty famous bridge, enviable brownstones, hipsters and so much history. From Brooklyn Heights to Bedford-Stuyvesant, Canarsie to Coney Island, Prospect Heights to Prospect Park, Bay Ridge to Bensonhurst to Williamsburg, Brooklyn has quite the compelling neighborhood stories and appeal.
