During one unforgettable week in the wilds of Alaska, make memories that’ll last a lifetime as you explore some of the country’s coolest landscapes – literally! Experience train rides to amazing glaciers, wildlife walks through the forest and a rafting adventure while searching for moose and bears along the way. Learn about the animals that call Alaska home, all delving deep into the wild with your family.

  • Visit the SeaLife Center, where you’ll learn about marine animals during two hands-on activities, a scavenger hunt and trivia, and explore among the sea lions and seabird habitats!
  • Sail past massive glaciers in Kenai Fjords National Park as the experts help you search for local wildlife like whales, otters, puffins, sea lions and more.
  • Learn about Alaska’s long history of dog sledding at the Seavey Iditarod Racing Team's facility where the three-time champions train, enjoy a ride through the wilderness and meet the puppies-in-training.

Learn About Activity Levels
Walking up to 2 miles per day at a moderate pace of 2 mph over varied terrain including paved paths, compact gravel, dirt trails, and rugged, uneven ground with roots, rocks and possible mud. Standing between 1.5 to 3 hours per day. Program will require approximately 6 miles of walking over 5 days. Elevation changes up to 320 feet on some trails. Some field trip sites may require navigating rock steps or stairs, potentially without handrails. Boarding and disembarking a train with unavoidable use of stairs. River float requires stepping over the raft's side onto an unsteady surface and balancing without handrails. Boarding and disembarking catamaran via steep ramp for 5 hour wildlife cruise across open water. Dog sled ride requires stepping up into a wheeled cart to access bench seating. Travel requires boarding and disembarking motorcoaches several times a day and unavoidable use of stairs. Due to the pace and terrain, this program is not suitable for wheelchairs or scooters.
