Along the way, learn about the island’s exquisite vineyards, and trace the history of Azorean whaling. Finally, survey the centuries-old churches and bustling markets that form the lifeblood of the Azores.

Learn About Activity Levels
Walking up to 2.5 miles per day at a moderate pace of 2 mph over urban streets, cobblestones, some gravel paths and grass and occasional uneven terrain. Standing up a maximum total on average of 1.5 hours per day (Please note that this is a sum of all standing during the day on field trips, museums, airport lines, etc. A maximum of 20-30mins standing at any one time) Program will require approximately 20 miles of walking over 12 days. Due to pacing and activities, this program is not suitable for wheelchairs, scooters, or canes. Must be physically capable of participating in all planned program activities.
