After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.

A Parental Consent Form is required for minors and should be returned at least 5 weeks before the program start. This form must be signed by ALL custodial parent(s) / legal guardian(s) of the minor and notarized. Completed forms can be emailed to programadmin@roadscholar.org or mailed to Road Scholar, PO Box 56033, Boston, MA 02205.”

A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

A signed Parental Consent form is required for this program. The form must be signed by both parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of the child participating in the program and returned to the program provider prior to the start of the program. You will receive the form as part of your program information packet. You will also be able to access the form through your online account.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Hotel Borgarnes in Borgarnes

Start of Trip:  10:00 a.m. Day 2 at Park Inn by Radisson.

Getting to the site: Our program begins at the Park Inn by Radisson. A transfer will be provided for those who have purchased their air through Road Scholar and arrive on day 2. A Road Scholar representative will meet you outside the Arrivals hall and escort you to the coach waiting for the group at the airport. Please note: those arriving at 9:00 a.m. or later will receive a transfer by taxi and will meet the group in Reykjavik. If you are arriving early or arranged your own air, there is a possibility to reserve a seat on the group arrival transfer that departs the Reykjavik airport. Instructions on how to reserve a space will be available in your Final Information Packet. Alternatively, you may take a taxi from the airport to the Park Inn by Radisson. It costs approximately 2500 – 3000 ISK ($17 - $22). The ride takes approximately 10 minutes.

Your trip ends on: Saturday, August 22, 2026 in Reykjavik at Grandi by Center Hotels

End of Trip: 10:00 a.m. after breakfast; 11:00 a.m. hotel check-out.

Getting to the airport: If you have booked your flights independently or plan to extend your stay in Reykjavik, you have a couple options: Take the Flybus to Keflavik airport. Make a reservation for Flybus at the hotel reception desk the day before your departure. Plan to take a taxi from the hotel to the BSI bus terminal approximately 45 minutes prior to your chosen Flybus departure time. There are departures operating every 90 minutes. This will cost approx. 3900 ISK per person for the Flybus and from 2100 ISK for the taxi (1-4 passengers). Alternatively, you may take a taxi from the hotel to the airport. It costs approximately 20,000 ISK for up to 4 people.

Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Road Scholar no longer offers complimentary transfers to participants with “Program Only” status. However, the Arrival transfer on this program is an exception to the policy due to the programming included on day 2. If you are arriving early or booked your own air, there is a possibility to reserve a seat on the group arrival transfer. Please note if you are arranging your own air, your flight should arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. in order to ensure that you will be able to join the transfer. The Final Information Packet, which is released 6 weeks prior to the program start date, will include instructions on how to reserve your space on the transfer. Reservations for the arrival group transfer are only available after you have received the Final Information Packet, but no later than 30 days prior to the program start date. Transfer times will vary from departure to departure. There is no guarantee that the transfer schedule will coincide with independently booked flights. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
