Over the years, our programs have been strengthened by alumni and supporters who have named Road Scholar as a beneficiary in their wills, retirement and estate plans. We have received bequests ranging from $5,000 to $1 million. All gifts, large and small, help Road Scholar to grow and develop programs that meet the changing educational needs of lifelong learners.

The Elderhostel Pooled Income Fund is a trust fund into which donors’ contributions are pooled and invested. The income you receive quarterly for life is your share of the actual earnings on the Fund’s portfolio. This provides a potential for growth in income over time.

For as little as $5,000 you can make a special gift to Road Scholar, benefit from a significant charitable contribution deduction and receive lifetime income for yourself, a relative or friend. Each gift to the Fund can benefit one or two income beneficiaries.
