Meet the Ambassador Team

When you book an Ambassador presentation or choose to become an Ambassador yourself, you know you’ll be working with a team driven by the shared belief that travel and lifelong learning are among life’s greatest joys.

Here’s a sample of some of the friendly faces you’ll find on the Road Scholar Ambassador Team:

Emily was born and raised in rural Kentucky and now lives in Louisville, KY, with her husband and two dachshunds. She holds a BA in Journalism and an MA in Communication Management and is passionate about storytelling and connecting with people. Emily joined the Road Scholar team in 2023 and manages Road Scholar's organization-wide event strategy, including the Ambassador Program.

Kelsey Knoedler Perri

PR Director
Road Scholar Class of '16

Kelsey was born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin. She fell in love with learning about the world when she studied abroad in Ireland during her sophomore year at Saint Mary's College (South Bend, IN). She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT and has been on the communications team at Road Scholar since 2016. She has learned with Road Scholar in Sturgis, Michigan; South Dakota; Cuba; Galapagos; Peru; and Antarctica! (Ask her about her programs!) Kelsey lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her husband, son, and rescue pup Penny.

Jenny from Minneapolis, MN and Sarasota, FL

Jenny has been a Group Leader with Road Scholar since 2009 and an Ambassador more recently. She has led programs as a Group Leader mostly on the West Coast, including Adventures Afloat and Grandparent/Grandchild programs and has also traveled as a participant herself to Mexico and Africa. When she's not leading a Road Scholar program on the West Coast or at sea, she splits her time between Sarasota, FL and Minneapolis, MN. 

"I love making presentations to groups about Road Scholar and really encourage them to consider planning a chartered program."

"While I have done many active outdoor programs, I also did about 10 less-active programs with my college roommate. We reconnected after we both retired and decided that Road Scholar was a great way to spend a week together without doing so much planning! One of our favorites was in Charleston, SC."

Ellie has learned with Road Scholar in Switzerland, Acadia National park, the San Juan Islands, Utah's National parks, the Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone, and more!
