Yes, It’s Included!
Because you’re traveling in the mild, winter months, you have the opportunity to study all of the amazing masterpieces, landmarks, cities and villages at the best possible value.
Walk the historic, cobbled streets without pushing your way through the masses. Stroll along the promenades and take in your beautiful surroundings. Walk into a quaint café to enjoy a latte or quietly discover breathtaking art museums. When there’s fewer crowds, you can explore each city like a local, taking in the most beautiful parts of a city as they’re meant to be experienced.
Venturing to popular destinations like Rome and Athens during the mellow winter months means shorter lines to some of the world’s most iconic landmarks. During the high season, the Colosseum can have 30,000 visitors a day. However, during the winter, these numbers can be cut in half – and sometimes even more – giving you more time to experience this incredible piece of history. With shorter lines, you’ll spend less time waiting and more time learning about important museums and monuments.
Watch the light glitter of the Mediterranean Sea from a gondola in Venice. Let the crisp air dance around you as you walk in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh. Winter is a lovely and peaceful time to explore Southern Europe, which typically has a milder winter than much of the United States. Escape those dreaded wintertime blues as you journey towards the sunshine and enjoy Europe in destinations with average temperatures in the 50s. Wondering what weather you’ll have on your adventure? Check the monthly average highs and lows under the “Dates and Prices” tab of each program.
“All I can say is ‘go.’ Going off season was wonderful because it’s not crowded or rushed. Our Group Leader really made this program all that it was. She taught us so much about Sicily and its history.”
