The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Falling asleep to the rain was wonderful. We learned about Qigong, self-massage, ecstatic dancing and essential oils and I've continued those practices beyond the rejuvenation week. Five stars.


Program was disappointing.


the land of medicine budhha trip in soquel california was absolutely awesome. I would go back to do this again if opportunity strikes. Everything about it was perfect. THe group leader was perfect for this retreat. The teachers were amazing. It was structured in a very easy format for my attention and the grounds were beautiful. I recommend it highly.

Wonderful retreat for self-introspection and developing an understanding of one's connection to the whole universe rather than maintaining an isolationist perception of oneself as a separate entity in the world.


This retreat was a wonderful experience. Having just retired, it served as a perfect transition into the next phase of my life. The redwood forest was magical and the meditation time soothing. The lessons in Yoga and Qigong were just what I was looking for to help me with maintaining flexibility far into the future. The information about aromatherapy and essential oils have opened door for me to explore how these can be a part of my life. This was my first Road Scholar experience and I am looking forward to many more. Next time I will take my husband with me to explore a new part of the world. Thank your such a wonder fun experience!


The overall program is very well balanced with individual participation and onsite learning in an easy going but meaningful way. I enjoyed the peaceful setting which was a perfect foundation for meditation and yoga and Qigong exercises. I highly recommend the program if you are looking for a way to slow down your way of thinking about your own life and the choices you make.


My mother and I really enjoyed attending this program together. We deepened our knowledge of meditation, Qigong, and other rejuvenating practices in a group of interesting and friendly women while in a stunning natural environment while eating the most amazing vegetarian food. Can you ask for more?


You need more easy going programs with less regimentation .


I celebrated my 65th birthday on this trip. It was everything I expected and more. Wonderful classes with a nice change of pace from the hectic, wired and Bluetooth world I usually live in. The vegetarian food was simple and delicious. Everything you need when you need it and nothing more. A philosophy of life and a dip into simplicity.


This retreat provides a really nice mix of activities and is very rejuvenating. I was glad I did it. You will enjoy easy and welcoming opportunities to experience some new things. It is co-ordinated by a lovely person (Briege). It's in a beautiful forest setting. However, be aware the retreat center inhabits a very old resort which is very rustic. The rooms are very basic and the walls are thin. No shampoo or conditioner is provided so be sure to bring some. The food is healthy, but very basic vegetarian fare.
