"The scenic Canyonlands of Utah proved to be an ideal destination for a contingent of avid hikers from our Central Texas Del Webb community. Enthusiastic local experts introduced us to classic trail routes while sharing with us their extensive knowledge of the area's geology, flora/fauna, history and culture. Comfortable lodgings and tasty meals further enhanced our enjoyment of this stunningly beautiful area of the country. This program truly exceeded our expectations!"

“I have just returned, along with 24 of my fellow OLLI members at the University of Georgia, from the Road Scholar program “The Best of Croatia: A Coastal Voyage by Yacht.” This adventure was the perfect fusion of travel, vacation and educational experience — there’s no way I could have duplicated it on my own.”

Affinity Groups
“It has been great fun to travel with a group, not only sharing the sites and experiences we have on the trip but building strong friendships with fellow travelers. Since 2015 we have been to Sedona, Natchez, Santa Fe, Lafayette, Napa and Sonoma, The Rose Parade, and a wonderful Italian cruise. It is not possible to say which trip was our favorite as each trip was special; the leaders were knowledgeable, the accommodations were lovely, each day was full of interesting experiences. We have enjoyed these trips so much that we have now decided to plan two trips each year.”
— Carolyn, Humble Area Retired Teachers’ Association.
“Independent Prague was a great program, very well balanced areas for intellectual, physical and social activities. It was just perfect for our group.”
— Sarah, Wellesley Class of 1972
“Members of our temple group recently attended New Mexico’s Conversos and Crypto-Jews and it was a wonderful experience! The topic, the scope and breadth of the lectures, the selection of speakers – all knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable – were outstanding and we learned so much about the history, culture and struggles of these Jewish citizens.”
— Judith, Kehillat Israel Congregation
“The Melvin M. Belli Society has talked about visiting Cuba for many years. This was an amazing experience for our group, particularly the opportunity to interact with members of the Cuban legal community. We learned so much about the history, culture and arts but the best part was meeting the people – everyone was so warm and welcoming to us.”
— Sandra, The Melvin M. Belli Society
Special Interest Groups
“We are a large hiking club that has organized many Road Scholar hiking programs for our members. Most recently we visited Costa Rica and this program provided a great blend of learning the culture and history of the country with the outdoor activities of hiking, kayaking and ziplining that our group enjoys!”
— Mary Carol, Cleveland Hiking Club

— Susan, Hollis Garden Club
“With so many trips to choose from, we had no trouble finding one that everyone wanted to do. Thanks to the Road Scholar team for making it completely hassle-free to organize!”

Families
“This activity was planned in celebration of my 80th birthday. We deliberately sought some sort of intergenerational activity — to include all three generations involved. This particular program fit the bill – from attention spans to age appropriate programming to ease of accessing the site. As our family is widely dispersed from California to East Tennessee, this was an opportunity to get the whole group together to celebrate!””
