Only ONE shuttle by RS provider. Pickup day problems call 503-563-1500. At pickup time a large van, unmarked with big black roof rack will arrive. Reserve: mark “Yes” on shuttle section of “Provider (NW Discoveries) info. form” attachment (yellow page) in your RS info. packet. Shuttle has plenty of room if reserved > 2 weeks prior. Pickup: Shuttle riders gather by 2pm Sunday at Portland Airport’s airline ticket counter/departure floor. Meet at the south end of the airport inside. A staff member will come inside and meet the group. The airline ticket counter floor/departures is one level above the baggage claim level – proceed back up the escalator after claiming any checked luggage

Arrive: 10:00 a.m. at airport (Flight scheduled after 11:30 a.m. for check-in). 9:00 a.m. depart from lodge on Saturday, last program day. Portland is a nice city to overnight in if your flight leaves the following morning.

There is typically an airport representative on island 3 to assist you find a shuttle/taxi.

Portland’s Amtrak station connection to Portland airport (PDX) via local MAX train. Walk 100 feet to MAX (Yellow or Green train) station on NW 5th & Glisan Street. Take train to “Rose Quarter” Station. At “Rose Quarter” station transfer onto Red MAX train with “Airport” sign. Find shuttle pickup by walking out of train to baggage claim, then thru doors to sidewalk. Arrive day prior if taking Coast Starlight Amtrak train due to typical long delays. Free parking is available at lodge on a dirt/gravel lot underneath the trees.

From Interstate 5 in Portland

Take exit #301 for Interstate 84 east (The Dalles/Hood River). Take Wood Village exit #16 off I-84, follow main road (238th turns into 242nd turns into NE Hogan) to Gresham. At NE Burnside (U-Haul store) turn left (east) on Burnside which becomes Hwy 26 to City of Sandy. In Sandy, turn right on Hwy 211 (toward Estacada). Go approximately 4 miles on Hwy 211 to Collins Retreat Center on right hand side of road.
