For grandparents with grandkids ages 12-14, this was an enormously satisfying trip. There were moments of challenge, but we felt safe at all times. The activities and trips were educational and fun for both the kids and the adults, and we experienced a vast sampling of the country of Costa Rica. Simply a beautiful experience.

A great experience with my grandson in Costa Rica. We "saw it all", ate everything, and learned a lot. A secure safe learning environment for exploration by the grands. Thank you for the attention to detail and the pure fun of traveling and learning.

We have always preferred independent travel until we embarked on this Roads Scholar trip. It was perfect. The guides were wonderful and we were able to enjoy learning so much about Costa Rica, while not worrying about the logistics of the trip. We will definitely do another Roads Scholar tour.

This was an excellent program to introduce our 13 year old grandson to a culturally different country. Guides were beyond fantastic. The program kept us busy, with interesting information and activities, while also allowing free time for swimming and bonding with other kids.

A fabulous trip for our granddaughter as well as for us--we learned so much about the rain forest, jungle, volcanoes, birds, sloths, monkeys, and sea turtles, as well as Costa Rican history and culture. Enlightening and joyful from beginning to end!

This was a wonderful way for us to take our young-teen grandkids on an adventure. We took each one separately. The first had such a great time the younger one wanted to go on that trip the next year. Neither child was disappointed. Neither were we. I don’t think there is another program like this with education and fun and adventure that gave us the chance to be close together doing something new and learning about new things.

This trip had everything that was advertised. We got to visit many different areas of Costa Rica, we traveled on a wonderful, private coach, and saw sights few others would get to see if they tried to plan a trip themselves. I highly recommend it.

This is a great program! A well organized and friendly trip through stunning scenery, new animals and plants, new foods and a new language. Organized and led by wonderful people, I can't imagine a better introduction to this beautiful country!

This is an outstading program that gives participants a variety of experiences from coast to coast. Costa Rica is an unspoiled country that is breathtaking and the leaders are of exceptional quality.

Our Costa Rican experience will never be forgotten for the friendly people on the trip, leading the trip, and in each location. The activities were thrilling and we learned so much. My grandson and I made a book and wrote about our time together. I know he will look back on this time with a happy heart.

I'm impressed: every single grandchild, irrespective of age or sex, had a really great time, each and every day! And they seem to have learned an awful lot in the process. That's what a good program is supposed to do, and this did it well. The overall quality and the unique educational opportunities greatly enhanced the already excellent opportunities to bond with one's grandchildren.

This was a fantastic trip -- 100% successful for both my grandson and myself -- on so many levels. Everything about it was perfect. The two guides -- Roger and Pedro -- were superb. They were extremely knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. The accommodations, the food, the activities, were all top drawer! it was the trip of a life time for my 13 year old grandson, and for me -- memories that we will hold close to our hearts forever. I loved that I always knew that Road Scholar, and Holbrook, and our two guides and driver had our backs 100% of the time. I would recommend Road Scholar Grandparents' trip to anyone. This is my second grandparent trip, and I am sad to say that I didn't learn of these trips until I was on my last two youngest. I've run out of grandchildren. Thank you, thank you for the work you do to build memories for us.
