Few adventurers can say they’ve experienced the wonders of Antarctica — and even fewer can claim they’ve set foot on the wild islands that dot its icy fringe. Ready to discover what makes this region so extraordinary? This once-in-a-lifetime expedition takes you beyond the Antarctic Peninsula to Tierra del Fuego and remote, wildlife-rich South Georgia — home to vast colonies of king penguins. In the Malvinas, uncover rare wildlife and fascinating history. Cross the legendary Drake Passage in the company of expert naturalists, and look for chinstrap, gentoo and Adélie penguins, seals, whales and black-browed albatrosses during thrilling Zodiac excursions.
Best of all, you'll...
  • Experience South Georgia’s massive king penguin rookeries and walk among elephant and fur seals in glacial plains.
  • Venture to the Antarctic Peninsula, journeying beyond the Antarctic Circle to observe unique wildlife and landscapes that are unparalleled elsewhere.
  • Enjoy Buenos Aires' sophisticated ambiance while enjoying Tango and a visit to the Pampas, land of the gauchos.
Activity Level
Keep the Pace
Walking up to two miles over varied terrain, including hills, mud, gravel and ice. Most embarkations and disembarkations will be via Zodiacs, requiring the ascent and descent of steep stairs between the Zodiacs and the ship. Zodiac landings will generally entail disembarking onto wet surfaces, which may be slippery. Wind and choppy water may result in more turbulent Zodiac transfers.
