What an amazing country! From exploring the heart of old Quito to feeding a hummingbird in my hand--I loved every minute of it. We spent a lot of time outdoors. We visited reforestation projects, walked the equator, visited a volcano, ate wonderful fresh fruit, visited rainforest and cloudforest, and enjoyed the great diversity of plants and animals. Our guide, Eduardo, was top-notch! He was extremely knowledgeable, very organized, had the patience of Job, and a great sense of humor besides. He is the best we have experienced with RS--and that says a lot because there are some great guides. His sidekick, our bus driver Edwin, was also excellent. Kind and patient and an excellent driver. I would highly recommend this trip! We came away with a special place in our heart for Ecuador.

*Please note this review was a 5 star (not 1 star) experience.* This was our first Road Scholar trip, and it far exceeded our expectations. Our tour leader, Eduardo, has such breadth and depth of knowledge of his country and the unique areas within it, along with his patience and sense of humor, that we learned so much and had a great time. The curated experiences presented by people doing amazing things, were a collection that we would never have done on our own.
