We enjoyed the Road Scholar trip to Chiapas and the Yucatán peninsula. The itinerary was chock full with very worthwhile activities. The guides were outstanding. They were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and ran “a tight ship”. We were very pleased with our experience.

This is a wonderful and very full trip to explore this beautiful part of Mexico. We visited Mayan ruins but also small Mayan communities where they currently live. We had a diversity of activities including boat rides and a ride on the new Tren Maya. The group leaders were friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this trip for people interested in new experiences.

This was an extraordinary journey through history, culture and nature of a fascinating region. We were greeted by exuberant musicians and dancers upon arrival at the airport, and every day was an adventure. We visited famous archaeological sites and less familiar places of stunning natural beauty, as well encountering traditional Maya religion, craft and culinary traditions. Mountains, jungles and beach all featured in our itinerary, and we got to ride the lovely, brand-new Tren Maya for one segment of the trip.
