Birding with like-minded women was a memorable and valuable experience. We quickly bonded as a group, and brought different experiences to the task at hand: discovering new birds! Each 'field trip' brought new and beautiful birds. Just when I thought that I'd seen the best that Costa Rica had to offer, our guide would find another spectacular bird. We were so into the flow that we even birded during free time, sometimes discovering birds that weren't seen during the 'official' trips. I encourage other women to seek out a 'women only' trip. I'll be the first to sign up if a Birding in Southern Costa Rica for Women trip is offered!

The Birding in Northern Costa Rica trip was one of my favorite trips ever, and I have travelled extensively. Our trip naturalist leader was outstanding. The accommodations were super. I saw many new-to-me birds, and the group was delightful. Walking through various dry and wet forest habitats, boating explorations, night walks, lectures, informal information during the bus travel between lodges, and a tractor pull through extensive acreage, all contributing to a diverse and rich experience.
