Just completed an excellent "immersion" into Buenos Aires, Argentina. The extended in-place itinerary allowed us to pursue personal interests (walking the town, tango lessons, museums, pursuit of the perfect steak, etc.) while learning more in depth about this fascinating city, including gaucho life, the enigmatic Evita Peron, the turbulent economy in recent years, etc. Solo travelers mixed well and it's always a big plus to unpack your bag once!

My Buenos Aires trip exceeded my high expectations. Road Scholar curated the perfect visit with experiences I would never have had as an independent tourist. The city is gorgeous, our hotel was clean, pleasant and in a beautiful residential neighborhood, and my fellow travelers were good, stimulating companions. I recommend this trip highly for travelers who want the benefits of group travel with ample time for solo exploration.

A fun trip with a nice mix of group activities and free time in a lovely city with a great location as a home base for exploration. Our leader, Carolina, gave outstanding lectures and was readily available to help with information and ideas for time on our own.

This is one of the best Road Scholar trips I have ever taken. There was just the right combination of carefully planned group experiences and free time to explore one of the world's great cities!

Summer in Buenos Aires with our excellent guide Mariano was exceptionally wonderful. We learned and saw so much about the city and about Argentine culture and history. It was totally worthwhile. There was a great blend of structured and free time experiences.
