Join Dr. Bradley Gottfried, a renowned Civil War author and Gettysburg licensed town guide, as he brings to life the story of Gettysburg’s Soldiers National Cemetery. After the battle, it was unanimously agreed that the thousands of poorly-buried soldiers deserved better resting places, but the journey to this end was arduous, marked by controversy and setbacks. As the bodies were being moved, plans for the cemetery’s dedication began to take shape. Lincoln’s visit, initially an afterthought, unfolded as a 25-hour legend shrouded in mystery. Dr. Gottfried’s expert insights will captivate you, providing a deeper understanding of the historical significance of this unique chapter in history.
