This was a fantastic presentation of information previously unknown to me. I especialy appreciated the hostorical context development. Dr. Jones is a very eloquent and extremely well informed historian. In addition, his visual aids are very helpful.

I'm not usually that interested in war history, but Spencer made it fascinating! I've signed up for more of his lectures.

Spencer Jones has once again delivered an insightful and stirring look at an event from the historical past! We learn how American troops made a difference at the critical Battle of Belleau Woods. We also learn of the bravery of American Marines in a time of imminent threat to Paris and to the whole Allied Front. Those same Marines emerged from the battle to become known to the Western World as the "Devil Dogs". Once again Dr. Jones, with his deft touch, discloses a very human face in the history textbook.
