After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
Both a valid passport and a personal permit are required for entry into Mexico and returning to the United States. Non-U.S. citizens please check with Mexican Consulate and U.S. Immigration for individual requirements. For the permit, a form is distributed during the flight into Mexico. It must be completed and presented when going through Immigration. Keep the form with you. The fee is included in the price of the flight.
A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.
This information about travel documents pertains to participants holding U.S. passports. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.
Mexico
Your passport must have 1 blank passport page(s) for entry/exit visas in this country.
A travel visa is required and it must be obtained in advance.
The cost of this visa is not included in the cost of your trip.
Please note: The state of Baja California Sur requires all foreign visitors to process a mandatory electronic permit called Embrace IT. The state permit costs approximately $30 USD and must be purchased online before program begins. To start the process, visit: embraceit.bcs.gob.mx/registro and follow the instructions. Once you have completed the form, you will receive a QR code confirming your submission. Print a copy of the QR code to bring with you and keep a digital copy on your phone. You may be asked to present the QR code when landing at the San Jose del Cabo International Airport.
No inoculations are required for Mexico. In Baja California, all drinking water and ice served in restaurants, homes, etc. is purified. DO NOT drink water out of the tap.
Arrival day is on Saturday, January 23, 2027.

Start of Trip: 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 5:30 p.m. Orientation followed by Welcome Dinner.
Getting to the site: The program begins in San Jose del Cabo. Taxi cabs or private shuttles are the best means of transportation from the San Jose del Cabo airport to the starting hotel. Taxi cabs are parked right outside the airport terminal. One Way approximately $20-$30.
Your trip ends on: Sunday, January 31, 2027 in San Diego, California at Las Rosas Hotel & Spa
End of Trip: Approximately 12:00 noon at the San Diego International Airport. Do not book flights departing before 2:00 pm.

Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. The Information Packet Road Scholar sends in advance of the program includes details needed to make your transfer arrangements. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
