Taxi and shuttle services from the Bozeman Airport to the program site can be expensive. It may be cheaper to rent a car. For additional car rental options visit bozemanairport.com/ground-transportation to view rates and availability. Please note that there are no drop-off rental car locations once you leave Bozeman, thus car rental options will need to be made for the duration of the program. Parking is free in Gardiner and in Yellowstone National Park.

From Bozeman/Livingston (North) to BBar Ranch

(Driving time from Livingston is approximately 50 minutes.) Take I-90 to the second Livingston exit (#333) for Yellowstone National Park. At the light at the end of the ramp, take a left onto U.S. Highway 89 going south towards Yellowstone. Drive about 37 miles and take a right onto Tom Miner Creek Rd. After .4 miles take a left onto Old Yellowstone Trail. Travel .7 miles and take a slight right onto Tom Miner Creek Rd and follow to B bar ranch.

From Gardiner (South) to Bbar Ranch

(Driving time from Gardiner, MT is approximately 40 minutes.) Exit the Park’s north entrance at Gardiner, Montana. Drive north on U.S. Highway 89 towards Livingston. You will go through Yankee Jim Canyon (at the cattle guard). Travel roughly 16.5 miles and turn left onto Tom Miner Cr. Rd. Travel .4 miles and turn left on Old Yellowstone Trail Rd for .7 miles. Slight right onto Tom Miner Creek Rd. Follow to B bar Ranch.

Once on Old Yellowstone Trail to BBar Ranch

Follow the gravel road approximately 4 ½ to 5 and then once the road splits take the road to the right up the hill. This is Tom Miner Creek Road. Take Tom Miner Creek Road all the way to the ranch’s first entrance, about 11 ½ miles from the highway. You’ll see a sign that says B Bar Ranch and the ranch road on the right. Once you turn right onto the ranch road you’ll drive 1.2 miles to the “West Wing/Lodge/Office Parking” and park there. Once parked, use the foot path and follow signs to the office in the “Treehouse” (has tree growing through porch). Cell phone service can be non-existent if your provider is any service other than Verizon, which has the best coverage in this area. Please keep this in mind and look over the driving directions thoroughly before heading to the ranch. Call for clarification in advance to avoid the frustration of not being able to find your way, along with not being able to call for assistance because of no cell service.
