This Costa Rica trip was lovely. I learned a lot and Jackie was a good guide with Holbrook travel. She was able to put in alternate programming because of rain. If I had to make suggestions I would recommend avoiding San Jose since that town is definitely not the best of Costa Rica. The hotels we stayed in in Sanpiqui and La Fortuna were excellent. In fact I would recommend more time in La Fortuna since there is so much to do and see there. I would recommend, in the future, that you notify participants that they should bring all the cash they think they are going to need. This trip is mostly rural and the ATMs in these towns do not easily connect with US banks. I was unable to obtain extra cash when I needed it and ended up borrowing from other people on the trip. Overall, though, the trip was great. We saw much wildlife and our driver, especially, was great

Highly recommend this program!! So enjoyed all of the learning experiences and the whitewater rafting. My thoughts related to Bats was greatly expanded and challenges some of the beliefs I had. Josie and Ari (driver) were tops!! It rained a lot but did not deter from our enjoyment and adventures. The birds are stunning. Highly recommend!!

This was an excellent adventure. Our guide, Josie, grew up in Monteverde and is an expert on the flora and fauna in all the areas we explored. The activities provided a lot of educational enrichment. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. It was fun to discover new flavors and savor all the fresh tropical fruit. I want to return to this beautiful country.

Fabulous adventure to CR with RS! Our guide, Lis, was exceptional. She has exceptional knowledgeable in bio diversity, all nature, and is so professional in her care and guidance to each traveler. The sites included in this trip were outstanding. Arenal Volcano, Sarapiqui whitewater rafting, and several organic farm visits among many were all fantastic adventures. I met like-minded women who are interested in keeping our planet clean now and for the next generation. Love RS. Love CR. Pura Vida!

We had a great leader -- Lissette Alfaro. Highly organized and energetic with tons of passion for the country and the natural world. Also very attentive to participants. Very knowledgeable about flora and fauna. Great sense of humor. The trip itself was very well organized and DENSE with experience. The lecturers were university level quality - organized, accessible, cogent. I learned a great deal and I consider myself to be pretty well educated. I had a knee replacement last year and had not gotten to hike, etc over the summer. This trip made up for that and has gotten me inspired for an active summer. The places we stayed were all in beautiful settings, clean and felt safe. A great trip!
