My second RS trip. Loved it. The food was good to very good, the guides were fabulous, the instructor knowledgeable and entertaining. One night my tent was moldy smelling, and I was warm enough because I went to bed in my jacket. But that's about the only downside. I'd wear clothing treated in permethrin, bring my own sleeping bag and backpacking pad, and inflatable pillow, a small plastic jar so I wouldn't have to leave my tent at night. Also I'd bring my own travel mug because drinking tea and wine from their plastic cups was a bit lower class. Only one person struggled to keep up. It was really nice to be on the Rogue, so totally recommend it.

For hikers, rafters, and outdoor enthusiasts this trip is a perfect combination of moderately challenging hikes and fun rafting! I loved camping along the river each night.

This was a fantastic program. It was well described and met all my expectations and beyond. I hiked in the morning and rafted in the afternoons. All the staff were knowledgeable and helpful.

Very pleasant not too strenuous supported (by rafts) hiking experience along a wild and scenic river. Head guide Ted and his crew are personable, knowledgeable, accommodating -- and also erected and took down the camp tents and cots each day. They worked diligently to maximize our enjoyment of the Rogue. In addition to discussion of human and natural history, particularly geology, the wIldflower display was memorable and the grass flora rich. The BLM plant guide is sketchy and covers only the eastern portion of the trail. A typical agreeable RS small group.

Hiking, camping and rafting on the Rogue River is a fabulous experience. Outstanding river guides with a wonderful camp set up. Glorious views of the river as you hike up high, and peaceful walks through the forest. The rafting is fun, not too scary, although you will get wet! Make sure to bring water shoes as well as hiking shoes. Hiking poles a must. Our hiking leader was passionate about the river and wanting to save its beauty.
