This was a very well-organized RS program with a very knowledgeable trip leader and terrific speakers. We went to a number of museums, a whale watching cruise, a Cape Breton musical performance, an outdoor presentation about the indigenous people of the Cape Breton area, and great scenery as we drove along the coast of Cape Breton. We had a great time!

A surprising perspective on migrations to and from North America, helps to put today’s struggles in context.

What a wonderful program! So many interesting and diverse experiences! It was far more than sightseeing at a few places; I feel like I learned about and experienced so many different aspects of Nova Scotia, and am very grateful for the opportunity. It was very comprehensive without being overwhelming.

Best of Nova Scotia trip was thoroughly enjoyable. The knowledge shared about the history of the area and its diverse cultural inhabitants was very enlightening, enhanced by visits to museums/historic sites. The scenery was spectacular. Hotels and meals were excellent.

The Best of Nova Scotia provides multi day experience in a beautiful area of the Canadian Maritime. The program experts provide historic insights into rural life and varied culture extending to the present. Interesting museums, good food, excellent local entertainment, comfortable rooms, scenic locations.

If you have been interested in this area of our Northern neighbors you must go on this trip. I loved Nova Scotia. For pictures, it was point and shoot scenery. Cape Breton Island was spectacular with its sea views and rugged seashore. Keltic Lodge was unforgettable in comfort, dining and spectacular views. Whale watch, seaside villages, beautiful wooded areas, Nova Scotia has it all!

There was so much that I was not familiar with regarding Nova Scotia. This program “filled the gap” in enjoyable and comprehensive ways!

This program gives you a very broad overview of Nova Scotia. The whale watching was terrific but there were many highlights. If you are a more active person, consider adding the Hiking on Cape Breton program. Do that after this introductory program. There are a few "repeats" between the programs but if you really like NS, the second program will give you a more indepth experience building on the first.
