Visit the Blue Mosque, famous for its magnificent 16th century Iznik tiles and learn about mosque architecture and Islam. Still a functioning Mosque, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, better known as the Blue Mosque, was built from 1609 to 1616 and is known for its hand-painted blue tiles, six minarets, and 13 primary and secondary domes.
