After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.

A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

This information about travel documents pertains to participants holding U.S. passports. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.

United Kingdom

• Your passport must have 1 blank passport page(s) for entry/exit visas in this country.

• A travel visa is required and it must be obtained in advance.

• The cost of this visa is not included in the cost of your trip.

• Your visa can be secured electronically. You may use the services of our designated visa service, Passport Visa Express, please see details on the process and the price at Passport Visa Express. If you prefer you may secure your electronic visa on your own, see the notes below for details.

Please note: American & Canadian passport holders traveling to or through the United Kingdom will need authorization via the UK Government's Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) Visa. The application is available online and via the UK ETA App at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta#apply-for-an-eta. You will need your passport information to complete the form. Once received, the application is expected to be processed within three business days. Once you have received confirmation, it will be valid for two years or until your passport expires (whichever occurs first). You must apply before entering the UK.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Arrival day is on April 22, 2027

Meet the group at Rose and Crown Hotel in Salisbury.

Start of Trip:  12:30 lunch; 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 5:00 p.m. Orientation followed by Welcome Dinner.

Getting to the site: Please note that transfers are provided for all participants arriving to LHR on group arrival day, including those who have not booked air travel through Road Scholar. Participants who have NOT arranged their air with Road Scholar and are arriving on the official group Arrival Day will be provided with an arrival transfer to the first program hotel as follows: London Heathrow Airport Arrivals Hall Terminal 5 Global Exchange within the terminal building on level 1. 2:00 PM Please note, level 1 at Heathrow is also the Ground Floor. Staff may use these terms interchangeably when giving directions. Participants wishing to use this service must contact rsukprograms@roadscholar.org to request a space on this transfer, we can then confirm joining instructions. Should we not hear from you we will have to assume that you have made your own arrangements to travel to the first program hotel. If you are arriving in country ahead of group arrival day and wish to travel to the hotel independently, this can be done by travelling by train to Salisbury then taking a taxi to the hotel. Elizabeth Line trains run directly from the airport terminals to Bond street underground station, change onto the Jubilee line for Waterloo. From Waterloo there are direct trains to Salisbury Station. Alternatively, you can also take the RailAir coach from Heathrow to Woking, and from there take the South Western Railway from Woking to Salisbury Station. From Salisbury Station take a taxi to the hotel which will take approximately 10 minutes and cost in the region of GBP12

Getting to the site by train or bus: Elizabeth Line trains run directly from the airport terminals to Bond street underground station, change onto the Jubilee line for Waterloo. From Waterloo there are direct trains to Salisbury Station. Alternatively, RailAir to Woking, SWR to Salisbury.

Your trip ends on: Friday, April 30, 2027 in London Heathrow Airport at Radisson Blu Heathrow Hotel

End of Trip: Breakfast until 10:00 a.m.; 12:00 p.m. hotel check-out.

Getting to the airport: A Hoppa Bus service operates between the hotel and airport terminals. Taxis are also readily available and can be booked at the hotel’s reception desk.
