This program gives you the background stories and history of Country, Blues, Rock and Roll and the pleasure of listening to live performances. I was very satisfied with Music.

We saw everything as outlined in the itinerary. The group was great. However, the tour guide was not local to the area and therefore added nothing to our experience. Others , who had traveled with roads before, said not to judge by this trip as this guide was not good.

Great Trip, especially for baby boomers! Lots of information, music and fun. Wonderful way to reminisce a time long gone.

Wonderful introduction to the two great Music Cities in America, which took multiple streams of music genres and fused them into Country, Blue Grass, Blues and Rock n' Roll. Anyone who has viewed the Ken Burns series on Country Music will find this program enjoyable and enriching.

This has been the second time that I have taken a vacation with Road Scholar, and I've found both trips worthwhile.

A wonderful experience learning about the influence and confluence of country music from the beginnings to rock and roll and how all this has even influenced today's music scene. This learning experience is for the music lover and the novice. You will come away tapping you feet along the way as well as gaining knowledge about the movers and shakers during this era.

Highly recommend Music Cities even if familiar with Nashville and Memphis. So much included

You don't have to be a big fan or supporter of the Blues or of Country and Western Music to enjoy this trip. I'm not, and was surprised that many other participants simply wanted to enrich their knowledge of Americana, as did I. It fulfilled that objective for me.

Excellent introduction to two great music cities. We learned so much, heard such great music, and got to explore on our own--while our group leader capably handled all the logistics, including music venues, as we stayed in hotels perfectly situated to take advantage of what these cities had to offer. This trip was one of the most enjoyable, and clearly among the best values, that we've had with a Roads Scholar program.

Overall this was a wonderful experience. I knew about most of the places we visited beforehand; just being where fabulous music had been made and where it is still being made was thrilling. Thanks to Road Scholar I got to places I have wanted for years to see. Road Scholar handled all the details.

There were a lot of interesting activities especially pertaining to music. Good tour of Nashville and C. Music hall of Fame. Graceland in Memphis was interesting, but very crowded and difficult to keep up with the descriptions on the I-pad.

Go to TN with Roads Scholar. This State istill believes in America and God. You don’t have to be afraid to sing songs about our great country, and you can talk to others about God. We loved this state because the local people were so nice to us.

This was my first Road Scholar trip and it did not disappoint! Packed full of activities and extras by a fabulous leader - you will see wonderful museums, hear awesome music, and get a behind the scenes look at what goes into making great music and entertainment. Some other history, including the National Civil Rights Museum and Belle Meade Plantation, added to the quality of this trip. I highly recommend this program.

Everyone should visit Nashville and Memphis! I'm not a super country, blues fan but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

While the program and leader were good, the On Call (case # 702589) has been less than helpful. I was given misinformation by 2 of their case workers, I am still hoping for satisfaction.

This is a great week filled with many field trips to experience country music (Nashville) and rock and blues (Memphis) and their roots, with a few other must-see places (Natl Museum of Civil Rights). My favorite activities were the Grand Ole Opry, Studio B, and the National Civil Rights Museum, very moving. I loved this trip! There is a lot of standing on this trip.

This program is a wonderful way to learn about the history of American popular music. It immerses visitors in the music scenes at Nashville and Memphis, which are both music cities but different in interesting ways. In addition, visiting the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis is a moving experience and a highlight of the trip.

I just returned home from the Music Cities USA: Nashville to Memphis program and loved it. It was great to see an Opryland performance and get a back stage tour. The tour of Studio B was fabulous. Graceland was just as interesting as I expected it to be.

The "Music Cities" program combined Nashville and Memphis historic education with fun, dancing and Bar-B-Que. I had a ball...don't hesitate to go as a single; just bring your casual clothes, sneakers and appetite.
