I had so much fun on this jam packed trip from Road Scholar. Angela was the best ambassador for the city of New York and Road Scholar. She made me want to come back to New York to explore some of your other itineraries.

This program met all my expectations and more. The opportunity to stay in the heart of Midtown Manhattan was a blast. And I sort of fell in love with the city.

The entire experience was amazing! Every day was full of new adventures and even the in-between times (walks and subway trips to venues) were full of interesting NYC facts provided by Angela, Grace, and Karl. The list of highlights is long including the Rockettes (a lifelong dream), Metropolitan Museum of Art, our walk through St. Patrick’s Cathedral, visits to the NYC Christmas Tree (and many other trees throughout the city), our informative walks through central park, our mini tour of Columbia University, meals at local establishments, and the great guidance Angela and Grace gave for getting to the theatre with recommendations for good places to eat along the way. The attention to every detail was outstanding!

I would recommend traveling with Road Scholar for all your vacations. They are very organized, affordable, and you will learn so much about the place you travel. They have amazing guides who will teach you about the area and you will experience places you wouldn’t have found on your own. Highly recommend taking a trip with Road Scholar. Sandy

This program shows you the Christmas of amazing decor and energy. It’s like a dream or passing through a fairy land. It,s an Interesting and delightful program, but come with energy for the walking required.

Be prepared for a great time! Be aware that the walking distance stated is really quite a bit more. My Fitbit documented around 6-7 miles each day.

The content of the program was wonderful, the NY Christmas lights - WOW, the design/decorated store windows - spectacular, the Radio City Music Hall Holiday Spectacular - Rockettes in full array, and lots more. But be aware, the very fast pace and amount of walking and stair climbing, in the cold (the 30+ degree range), is challenging.

This is such a great trip! I highly recommend it to anyone whether new to NYC or an old hand. We did so many great things together, and the group leadership was excellent. Be prepared to walk and climb stairs, but if you're in reasonably good shape, you'll manage fine. Worth every penny!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas holiday season, but going to NYC and seeing the Tree at Rockefeller Center, the "Christmas Spectacular" with the Rockettes, Bryant Park Holiday Market, and so much more. Be comfortable walking to/from the subways and up/down steps.

Christmas in New York is like nothing else in the world. The energy and excitement, the variety of activities offered will make you feel like a true New Yorker for a few days. It fulfilled a longtime dream for me.

A fun way to experience NYC at its holiday best - with two or more centuries of making Christmas traditions.

Would give this program a "5" for the itinerary, leaders and convenience of the accommodations, and a "3" for group size. The itinerary really does provide a comprehensive experience of the holidays in New York, with some free time and leaders willing to assist those with individual interests who want to deviate from the itinerary to strike out on their own. However, our group had almost 40 participants, which is a lot for a trip utilizing public transportation and walking tours. The leaders, Christina and Nan, did an excellent job managing the group, but the size of the group did make things somewhat less enjoyable at times, even though everyone in the group was good-natured about the challenges.

Having never been to New York City before, I was very nervous about what to do. Now, I feel confident in riding the subway and navigating Manhattan. Christina, our guide, took the stress off of getting to the venues and how to navigate the New York City crowds. I returned home with a smile on my face.

Experiencing Christmas in New York is like no other place in North America! I felt the same excitement and wonderment that I had as a child. Highly recommend this program.

New York is a must see at Christmas! We enjoyed all of the wonderful sights and sounds on our trip. The highlife of course, was the spectacular at Radio City Music Hall!
