Harpers Ferry, Antietam, Gettysburg program was excellent. Really enjoyed stepping back into this chaotic time of American history.

If you are looking to understand the Civil War Battle at Gettysburg-this program was very helpful for me. The primary presenter was very interesting to listen to and delved just deep enough as to provide a very complete sense and picture of the three days of a horrible battle.

This 4-1/2 day tour of Gettysburg, Antietam and Harpers Ferry was very well organized and staffed by passionate, professional program managers and guides. There was a nice balance between lectures, field trips and free time. The meals, most of which were taken at the hotel, were filling and tasty. The only negative was the poor housekeeping at the hotel. It's a very busy hotel, and they seem to be understaffed/under-trained in the housekeeping department. Overall, it was a very educational program, truly in keeping with the Road Scholar mission. I learned so much, and am now motivated to continue reading about the Civil War, and Gettysburg in particular.

The trip is one of the most interesting we have ever taken. Lodging, food, guides, transportation but most importantly the learning experiences greatly exceeded our expectations. Road scolar is a wonderful way to experience the benefits of traveling to new locations and we plan on taking more Road Scholar excursions.

Program is great for Civil War scholar, novice and pacifist covering many aspects beyond the battle itself and the before, during and after perspective. It brings history alive and relevant to important issues of our times.

The best presentation of the Civil War at Harper's Ferry, Antietam and especially Gettysburg. You'll learn and remember from this program about this critical time in our Nation's history.
