GC: majesty, history, beauty - it's all there. Be aware that in the summer, it is VERY hot. Try to spend time just looking at all hours of the day. Lots of good lectures; consider bring a recording device and/or taking pictures of the various display screens. Consider a day or so before and/or after to explore GC and maybe Flagstaff on your own.

The star party was a blast. Amateur astronomers let us view distant stars, planets, nebulae, and distant galaxies through their telescopes of all sizes and descripitons. They were only too happy to share their expertise. The Grand Canyon was the perfect venue. I also learned about using red lights instead of the usual yellow or white. Dr. Dave gave us great info, including the skinny on NASA. Jeff managed to keep us hrerded. No one was left behind. I highly recommend this program.

This was a very well-organized trip with a fantastic group leader -- Jeff Strang, and the others who assisted were also superb. The speakers and field trips within the Flagstaff area were interesting. Time spent at the Grand Canyon was wonderful, with some free time to explore, and I loved seeing the stars and having the chance to look through telescopes. I was very happy and satisfied with this program.
