If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Deer Lake Motel in Deer Lake, NL

Start of Trip:  3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 4:00-5:00 p.m. Program Registration; 6:30 p.m. Welcome Dinner followed by Orientation.

Getting to the site: Independent travelers are responsible for arranging their own transfers arrangements from the Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF) to the first hotel at the beginning of the program. Please note that the first and last hotel in Deer Lake does provide complimentary shuttle services to and from The Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF) to your hotel during the local hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am on a first-come, first serve basis. Alternatively, please see the following options: Deer Lake Taxi - taxi service operating between Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF) and the program's starting hotel. Phone: 709-635-2521. Star Taxi: Phone: (709) 634-4343. We recommend contacting Star Taxi 24 to 48 hours prior to arrival. There is a kiosk in the terminal and direct line that you can also use to arrange ground transportation.

Your trip ends on: Friday, September 11, 2026 in Rocky Harbour, NL at Oceanview Hotel

End of Trip: After breakfast on final day, followed by group transfer to Deer Lake Airport.

Getting to the airport: A group transfer from the hotel in Rocky Harbour to the Deer Lake international Airport (YDF) on the final day of the program will be arranged. Your approximate arrival at the airport is 9:00 a.m. You will be responsible for independent departures from the Deer Lake Airport. This transfer is available to ALL enrolled participants at no extra charge. No reservations are required. Your registration in the program guarantees your seat on the group transfer. The transfer is only available on the scheduled end date and time.

Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements from the Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF) to the first site at the beginning of the program. A group transfer from the hotel in Rocky Harbour to the Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF) will be arranged for ALL enrolled participants at the end of the program at no extra charge.
