a great program! it's always a joy to attend Santa Fe Opera with other opera fans, esp for Oliver Prezant's excellent morning classes before seeing interesting productions that evening

The program was not only a wonderful and convenient way to see the Anta Fe opera house and the operas, but also to be exposed to some unusual productions and the historical area of northern New Mexico.

For an opera-lover, I can think of no better opportunity to attend performances well-informed by excellent lectures, with the convenience of transportation provided, and in a unique performance hall situated in a dramatic area of the United States.

If you are an opera lover, this is a great program for you. The Santa Fe opera is a first class venue and this program is a first class way of experiencing it.

The visit to Santa Fe Opera organised by Road Scholar could not have been better; mixed ages on a 'relaxed' tour for those who had chosen to have a less physically strenuous trip, a very pleasant group of travellers form all over the USA (and I am from London UK), the quality of Santa Fe opera and the charm of Santa Fe, were all components that were enhanced by the truly outstanding quality of the lectures - and I have decades of experience in both going to opera and hearing about it, and these were the finest and most illuminating I have ever heard plus our lecturer invited our participating in the form of discussion and comments. Highly recommeded and I hope to be able to take this trip again.

If you love opera, this is for you, and Santa Fe is worth visiting on its own. Oliver P. will teach you things you never even thought about.

An incredible experience for the opera lover! The Santa Fe Opera venue is incredible, the productions are guaranteed to provoke discussions, and the trip activities are interesting. Oliver Prezant Is an outstanding facilitator and helps you learn something new about each opera. I flew in a day early and an extra Saturday night at the Drury Inn was a pricey $444.00!! Many on this trip were repeats and I am thinking of coming again next year!

For a total immersion in the beauty of the Southwest and the world of opera, I recommend the Road Scholar Opera in Santa Fe.

I am an opera nut, since my high school experience with music, when we studied Rigolleto. The following year, I experienced Leonard Warren singing in Rigoletto. In the years since, wherever I was, I enjoyed the opera performances. I want to continue to attend Santa Fe for the week of opera, it was most enjoyable.

I just recently returned from the Opera Extravaganza program in Santa Fe, NM. I had a wonderful time. The operas we got to see were well presented and provided me with an experience of a lifetime. I enjoyed my time in Santa Fe and can now say I have been to New Mexico. I am hoping I will be able to attend this program again in the future.

Whether you are an opera "novice" or a long-standing opera aficionado, this program has a great deal to offer and will be very satisfying.

If you have any interest in Opera, this is the trip for you! The lectures the morning before the opera assist with an overall understanding of what you will see as well as tips about things the rest of the audience doesn't know. The backstage tour also helps with the understanding of the workings of the opera house. While most seats in the venue appear good I thought it was worth paying a little more for closer, better seats. The hotel location is great and you can walk to museums, shopping and restaurants. This was a great program and some people have been coming back year after year! I would definitely recommend it.
