This is an incredibly organized program that lets you in on all the issues involved in planning and producing a play. You get to see what is going on behind the scenes and interact with all involved.

My Road Scholar trip to the Shaw Festival exceeded my expectations. It not only included some great theater, but also opened my eyes to some of what it takes to make theater work. A wonderful variety of leaders enriched my week.

Outstanding theater, incredible nature (Niagara Falls), wonderful opportunities to engage with festival staff and fellow participants, and a lovely introduction to the NOTL area. A+ adventure! The "absolute rat's pajamas!" We "got a kick out of" it all!

This program with the Shaw Theatre Festival was even better than expected, and our expectations were already very high. The Shaw representatives we met were wonderful and provided excellent insights into the production and operation of a world class theater operation. Fabulous tour!

Enjoy the drama of Niagara Falls, the lush rolling fields of fruit trees and grapevines, and cap it all off with productions at the Shaw Festival.

If you have any hearing deficit, prepare to be able to hear and understand only 80% of what is spoken.

Plays were high quality theater, and seating was quite good. Did not like location of hotel, too far from theaters.

Really enjoyed all aspects of this week long learning adventure. Staying in Niagara Falls was fun with a quick walk to see the falls. Back stage tours and talks at the Festival were wonderful and insightful. The three productions we saw were diverse and very enjoyable. Nice group of interested and welcoming travelers.

The many conversation sessions with the staff at Shaw -- actors, directors, stage crew -- were especially interesting. I would have like an opportunity to see a bit more of the falls, but I did manage to get a boat ride in independently upon my departure!

The Shaw Festival was my first Road Scholar experience and I was totally amazed by the high quality of the educational program and the theatre productions. The Road Scholar staff and organization were first rate from start to finish.

The Shaw Festival trip was interesting, entertaining and educational. I loved it! I would suggest if you want to walk around the little town of Niagara on the Lake- you will need to miss some of the talks as there is no free time built into the program to explore this lovely town.
