Terms & Conditions

Eligibility: Road Scholar’s Campus of the Year Giveaway is open to all individuals age 50 and older who are legal residents of the United States. Employees, agents and affiliates of Road Scholar, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate in the giveaway. 

Giveaway Period: The giveaway begins on January 1, 2026, and ends on June 30, 2026, 11:59 p.m. ET. All entries made within this period will be eligible. 

How to Enter: There are two ways for legal residents of the United States, age 50 or older, to enter the giveaway:

1. Joining the Mailing List: If you are new to Road Scholar, you can enter by subscribing to our mailing list through the one of the official giveaway pages  (example) or via the Campus of the Year website pop-up. For an entry to be valid, you must not already be on Road Scholar’s mailing list.
2. Referring a Friend: If you are an existing mailing list subscriber, you can earn an entry for each new friend you refer through our website or catalog Business Reply Cards (BRCs). For an entry to be valid, the referred individual must not already be on Road Scholar’s mailing list. Please note that only the referrer receives an entry.

Prizes: Road Scholar will award one prize, a “Grand Prize,” consisting of the following program for two people traveling and staying together in a double-occupancy room and airfare from a major gateway airport: Classical Greece: Islands of the Aegean ($15,098). Costs of attending the program beyond those included in the program’s price and round-trip airfare are the responsibility of the winner. 

The Grand Prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The winner may elect to receive the value of their prize in the form of a voucher to apply to a different Road Scholar program. Road Scholar reserves the right to substitute a Grand Prize with an item of equal or greater value in the event that Grand Prize program becomes unavailable for any reason. The Grand Prize winner is responsible for any federal, state or local income taxes assessed on their prize and must provide Road Scholar their social security number to claim their prize. The Grand Prize winner will be issued an IRS 1099 tax form for the actual value of the Grand Prize.   

Winner Selection, Notification & Use of Prize: The Grand Prize winner will be selected at random from all the entries received. The Grand Prize winner will be notified via email or phone within ten (10) business days after the end of the giveaway period. The winner must claim their prize within thirty (30) days of notification. Submission of an acceptance letter is required. If the prize is not claimed within this period, an alternate winner may be selected. The Grand Prize program, or alternative program if elected, must be attended within two years of being notified as a winner. Prizes or vouchers not redeemed within two years of the notification date will expire. 

Publicity Release: By participating in the giveaway, entrants agree to grant Road Scholar the right to use their names, likenesses and testimonials for advertising and promotional purposes without any additional compensation or permission. 

General Conditions: Road Scholar reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of these terms and conditions or involved in fraudulent activities. Road Scholar is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, errors or delays that may occur during the giveaway period. The decisions made by Road Scholar regarding the giveaway and the selection of winners are final and binding. Road Scholar reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the giveaway at any time for any reason without prior notice. 

Privacy: Road Scholar will collect and may use entrants’ name, city or town and home state for the purpose of administering the giveaway and for marketing and promotional purposes, as outlined in the Road Scholar Privacy Policy. 

Release and Indemnification: By participating in the giveaway, participants agree to release and hold harmless Road Scholar, its affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising from their participation in the giveaway or acceptance and use of the prize.
