Road Scholar is a fully remote organization, with most employees based in the United States. We believe flexibility supports focused work, thoughtful collaboration, and a healthy balance between professional and personal life. Remote work at Road Scholar is grounded in connection. While our teams work from home, we invest intentionally in staying connected to one another and to our shared mission.
What remote work looks like at Road Scholar:
- Flexible scheduling: We focus on outcomes and trust our staff to manage their schedules responsibly.
- Strong connections: Teams and departments meet regularly, with monthly all-staff Town Halls to share updates, celebrate milestones, and stay aligned.
- In-person moments: Departments gather in person every other year, and the full organization comes together every other year, so we connect face to face at least annually.
- Community beyond meetings: We have regular Community Engagement events on a wide variety of topics and use Zoom not just for work, but for connection, with interest-based channels for everything from gardening to book lovers.
- Wherever we work, we’re united by a shared purpose: creating transformative learning experiences and meaningful connection for older adults. Our remote model allows us to bring together talented people from across the country, while staying deeply human, collaborative, and mission-driven.
