At Road Scholar, we see lifelong learning as more than just a hobby — it's a way of living fully. For the past 50 years, we've encouraged adults to turn the world into their classroom. But our passion for learning goes beyond just our educational travel programs. Road Scholar helped galvanize the first lifelong learning institutes, and since then, we've partnered with LLIs across the U.S. (and beyond!) to create the Road Scholar Institute Network (RSIN). This network makes it easy for LLIs to keep inspiring adults to keep learning right in their own communities.
What is an Lifelong Learning Institute?
Lifelong learning institutes provide the opportunity to explore college-level subjects without the stress of assignments, and at a remarkably affordable price. Led by experienced professors or community specialists with expertise in their fields, these courses foster an environment of dynamic learning. What truly sets them apart, though, is the diverse perspectives and rich life experiences that participants bring, enriching discussions and deepening the overall experience.
