ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
For those vying for a medal, participating in the Winter Olympic Games takes athletic skill, determination and year after year of practice. But don’t worry if you haven’t made the team yet — now is your chance to compete in several exciting Winter Olympic sports without the rigorous training regimen. Come to Lake Placid, N.Y. — “Winter Sports Capital of the World” — and take part in an action-packed, Olympic-style fantasy experience. Enjoy the thrill of bobsledding and luge, take target practice at the biathlon venue, do a little curling and visit the many Olympic arenas. Along the way, learn from experts in the know about the history of the Olympics in Lake Placid and what it takes to become an Olympian.

• Experience a thrilling descent down the skeleton/bobsled run.
• Watch Olympic ski jumpers at the K-120 ski jump and take an elevator to the top for a perspective that will take your breath away.
• Enjoy an expert-led exploration of the ice rink where the 1980 U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team upset the Soviets in the “Miracle on Ice” and where speed skater Eric Heiden won his five gold medals.

Activity Notes

This active program will involve all aspects of skeleton/luge, bobsledding, the biathlon and curling. Expect standing, bending, sliding and walking.
