Hear from folklorists, naturalists and musicians about the customs and way of life folks in these parts hold dear to their hearts. Meet and interact with local musicians, hike with a naturalist to learn about the region’s geology, delve into decades-old home Rx recipes and warm up your dancing muscles for some traditional dancing, from square dancing to line dancing.

Lelana has also been a consultant in the field of early childhood. She has an avid interest in Appalachian Culture and has researched the foods, crafts, quilting, weaving and dying of wool used in the Appalachian area. She, along with her husband John, present workshops on Appalachian Culture to varied groups.
