The Santa Barbara International Film Festival offers a cinematic feast popular with Hollywood and situated amid both seaside splendor and Oscar’s golden allure. Unique, diverse and high caliber films will be analyzed and discussed in class with an expert professor from the University of California Santa Barbara. Join us as the lights go down and the soundtrack begins.

Program runs Sun-Fri morning. Festival begins previous Wednesday, ends the following Saturday. One of our most popular events, this program may enroll 200+ participants, with some activities divided into smaller groups.

Anna Brusutti
Anna Brusutti is a film and media studies lecturer at the University of California Santa Barbara. She has an extensive background in film studies, holds an M.A. in Psychology and Education and is widely recognized as an expert in Italian cinema and comedy. She conducts seminars in the films of celebrated Italian directors including Bernardo Bertolucci, Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni. Anna was previously an assistant to the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles.
