ARRIVAL: Meet at the information desk located in the baggage claim area once luggage has been retrieved. All guests are responsible for retrieving their own luggage and for ensuring bags are brought to the shuttle bus location. A shuttle driver from a private transportation company (Giorgio's Chauffeured Transportation) will be waiting near the information desk with a sign indicating "Road Scholar" at 3:00pm sharp. The driver will escort guests out of baggage claim and to the shuttle buses to prepare for a prompt departure to Chautauqua Institution. DEPARTURE: Gather in the Athenaeum Hotel lobby after the last morning lecture (11:00am). Athenaeum Hotel Bell Staff will load tagged guest luggage onto the shuttle buses to prepare for departure. PLEASE ARRANGE FLIGHTS ACCORDINGLY: Give yourself ample time to get to the shuttle from your plane. Bus/shuttle departure times are FIRM.

Free parking is available to all guests and is located in the South Parking Lot at the top of Janes Avenue adjacent to the Chautauqua Institution Fire Hall. Shuttle service to and from this parking lot is provided during check-in and check-out day.

Take Interstate I-79 North to Interstate I-90 East through Erie. Take Interstate I-90 East toward Buffalo and then exit onto Interstate I-86 via Exit 37. Proceed 20 miles East on I-86 to Exit 7 - Route 33. Exit and turn left heading North. Proceed 4 miles to Route 394. Turn right onto Route 394 and proceed 1/4 mile to Chautauqua Institution's Main Gate Welcome Center (Gate #3). Follow directional signs down Janes Avenue to the Athenaeum Hotel.

Cleveland, Erie and West

Take Interstate I-90 East toward Buffalo and then exit onto Interstate I-86 via Exit 37. Proceed 20 miles East on I-86 to Exit 7 - Route 33. Exit and turn left heading North. Buffalo and East

Take Interstate I-90 West toward Erie, taking Exit 60 at Westfield, NY. Turn left onto Route 394 and proceed 11 miles to Chautauqua Institution's Main Gate Welcome Center (Gate #3). Follow directional signs down Janes Avenue to the Athenaeum Hotel. Alternately, from Interstate 86 East, heading Westbound: Exit 8, right after the bridge that spans Chautauqua Lake. Turn right and follow Route 394 approximately 6 miles to Chautauqua Institution’s Main Gate Welcome Center (Gate #3). Follow directional signs down Janes Avenue to the Athenaeum Hotel.
