The natural beauty of 160 acres of rolling hills and trees is the perfect setting to nourish your body and your senses at northern Michigan’s lakefront Kettunen Center. If you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, you’ll still learn how to paint in watercolors from an encouraging local artist. Equally reassuring is a professional photographer who teaches you how to get the best out of your camera during nature hikes. Finally, health benefits are the goal of sessions in tai chi. In the evenings, relax with new friends or choose a pontoon ride on scenic Center Lake.

Love to learn and explore in a small-group setting? These adventures offer small, personal experiences with groups of 10 to 24 participants.

Best of all, you'll ...

  • Even if you’re a beginner, capture Northern Michigan’s natural splendor through the tutelage of a watercolor painter.
  • Learn editing tricks and techniques and the various functions of your camera from a professional photographer while on interpretive nature hikes.
  • Tai chi sessions are less concerned with form than with allowing “inward expression.”
