Holly – Class of 2012 | Lenexa, KS
Our trip was great and it exceeded our expectations. I can't say enough good things about our leader, Ali Ryerson. Learning the background of the performers was invaluable and enhanced our enjoyment of the festival. One thing I wish I had known before the trip was to bring a seat cushion. The one suggestion I have is to add a late bus going to the festival. Currently the only bus going to the festival leaves at 11:45 AM; however, there are 2-3 return buses. Each night I took the 7:00 PM bus back to the Lodge because I was tired. If a later bus was offered, I would have taken it because I'd stand a better chance to see the late acts. Being at the festival for 10-11 hours straight is too much for me. Thank you, Holly Burrows

This trip is definitely the best way to experience the jazz festival. The group's jazz instructor, Ali, is absolutely on top of her game and makes it fun to learn about the specific performers (many of whom she know personally) and jazz in general so we can fully enjoy the show.

The seamless way to enjoy the Festival. Comfortable lodging with well-prepared meals, and a quick bus ride to the grounds. The presenter reviews the day's groups to help one decide who to see and manage visits to competing performances. For independent sorts, like me, take off an afternoon to enjoy one of the features of the area, especially Point Lobos or Pacific Grove coastline hike. Better, add a day or two to the trip. I'm a CA resident yet I never tire of visiting this area.
