This trip was a wonderful introduction to Mexico's history, art, and culture. Our tour leaders, Arturo and Cosme, handled every detail, and the professional guides were all experts. Some of the highlights for me were visiting the Museo Anthropology in Mexico City, seeing the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe--where thousands of people were participating in a mass, wandering through the cobble-stone streets of San Miguel de Allende, climbing an ancient pyramid, and enjoying a performance of the Ballet Folklorico. We stayed at nice hotels, ate in good restaurants, and very much enjoyed the company of our fellow tour members. I would recommend this trip.

The Mexico's Origins: Silver, Culture and Revolution provided a wonderful opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of Mexico from it's earliest days through to the 20th century, while enjoying the comforts of today. The program is well-paced, organized and well worth your time.

When asked at the farewell dinner about my experience, I said that I would tell friends that my time in Mexico had far exceeded my expectations. Mexico is a safe, beautiful, friendly, and clean country and I intend to return!

This program provides a wonderful overview of Mexican history and culture, but more important, it revealed the warm and welcoming spirit of the Mexican people and a surprising amount of interesting and beautiful buildings and artifacts. Lately, Mexico has suffered from bad publicity, but the reality was quite different. I felt comfortable and safe, and I plan to go back.

My wife Pam and I learned very much about Mexico’s Origin: Silver, Culture, and Revolution. Accomadations, meals and transportation were excellent. The leaders and local experts were knowledgeable and helpful. We have learned that at any age Road Scholar tours broaden our world view. Len Turner
