Go Solo: Signature City Portland
After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
One or more of the meals on your program must be pre-selected. For your convenience, we have created an online form that can be filled out on any mobile device or computer. The link can be found in the Recommended Websites section of your pre-program information packet. We expect it will take less than 5 minutes to complete. At the bottom of the form there is a submit button. After submitting your form, you will have the opportunity to “submit another response” if you are traveling with someone in the same household. Please complete no later than 2 weeks prior to your program's start date. We've included the "Multnomah County Bridge Tour" waiver for you to review and fill out in advance of the program. This is required by Multnomah County due to the activities on this program. While we encourage you to review and return this waiver ahead of your program, blank forms will be available for completion at program orientation. Completed forms should be sent digitally to rswestprograms@roadscholar.org. Participants will need to show a Photo ID before boarding the lunch cruise.
United States citizens don’t need a visa for any of the countries you’ll be visiting. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.

Taxis are available at the airport. Exit baggage claim area on the lower level and walk to the third island (closest to the parking garage). Two local companies are Radio Cab (503-227-1212) and Broadway Cab (503-333-3333). If you need a taxi equipped to transport wheelchairs, contact Radio Cab (503-227-1212). Advance reservations are recommended for this service.

Uber, Lyft, and Wingz are available at the Portland International Airport, with a dedicated pick-up spot inside Level 1 of the Short-Term Parking garage instead of the main roadway. Book your ride on their app, and exit the baggage claim area on the lower level, following the signage at baggage claim towards the 'Transportation Plaza.' The parking garage columns are labeled with the pick-up location for each service provider (Uber, Lyft, or Wingz).

The Tri-Met Max/Light Rail can be found on the main level, beyond the Starbucks. The Red Line departs every 15 minutes. Instructions from the Airport MAX Station: 1) Purchase one ticket for each person in your traveling party. 2) Board MAX Red Line towards City Center & Beaverton TC. 3) Exit at Pioneer Courthouse Square North (on SW Morrison St.) 4) From SW Morrison St. turn right onto SW Broadway 5) Continue 3 blocks on SW Broadway. 6) The hotel will be on the left after crossing over SW Harvey Milk St. Visit www.trimet.org for fares and additional information.
